About Us

Medina Entertainment Center is an all-in-one entertainment powerhouse proudly serving the community for 70 years, with The Medina Inn offering comfortable lodging for 45 years.
 
This expansive venue features Robert’s Craft Kitchen & Bar, 12 bowling lanes, a lively game room, and three private event spaces that accommodate groups from 10 to 1,500 guests. The spacious ballroom hosts concerts and special events for up to 2,300 people, making Medina Entertainment Center one of the premier destinations in the Twin Cities area.
 
Robert’s Craft Kitchen & Bar is open seven days a week, offering a scratch-made menu of American favorites in a welcoming atmosphere.
For events, Medina provides versatile spaces perfect for weddings, reunions, corporate gatherings, school events, holiday parties, luncheons, and more. Off-site catering services extend Medina’s exceptional food and hospitality to any location.
 
Guests can enjoy the 12-lane bowling center, complete with a full-service pro shop, bowling leagues, cosmic bowling on weekends, and birthday party packages for kids. The adjoining game room features a mix of classic and modern arcade favorites for all ages.
 
Located right next door, The Medina Inn offers comfortable, year-round accommodations including bridal suites, two-room suites, king rooms, and double-queen rooms—perfect for guests looking to relax and stay the night after an event.

Our History

Medina Entertainment Center was founded in September 1956 by Bob Raskob, along with his brothers Joe and Cliff Raskob. Their vision was simple yet timeless—to create a place where people in the Medina area could come together to dance, enjoy great music, and have fun. At the time, Medina was primarily a small farming community, and the brothers’ dream brought new energy and excitement to the area.
 
Originally opened as a dance hall, the venue quickly expanded to include a bowling center and restaurant, becoming a beloved local gathering spot.
 
In 1973, a tragedy struck when a fire destroyed the building. Refusing to give up, the Raskob family rebuilt Medina from the ground up in just six months. Their dedication and resilience helped the venue grow stronger than ever, and today, Medina proudly celebrates over 70 years in entertainment, food, and hospitality.
 
One of Medina’s long-standing goals has been to bring exceptional live music to the community while showcasing both regional talent and national headliners across every genre.
 
Over the decades, Medina’s legendary stage has hosted a star-studded lineup, including Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Waylon Jennings, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Peter Frampton, Alice Cooper, Bret Michaels, Dierks Bentley, Meat Loaf, 38 Special, Ted Nugent, Tesla, Buddy Guy, Cinderella, Slash, and Buckcherry—along with recurring performances from Little River Band, Blackhawk, and The Outlaws.
 
Among the many unforgettable moments, Willie Nelson’s visit stands out—he famously stayed after his show, signing autographs until 2 a.m., creating memories that lasted generations.
