The Robert’s and ballroom bartender’s primary function is to ensure the complete comfort and satisfaction of the guest, along with knowing, understanding and implementing the duties outlined in your general and specific job requirements.
Responsibilities
Robert’s Bartender Responsibilites
- Direct Supervision: Bar manager, restaurant manager, MOD
- Hands full at all times during expo and bus periods.
- Keep empty glasses and plates off the tables.
- Keep tables, booths, and chair seats/tops clean and neat.
- If your area is well serviced, help expo run food and bussers clean the restaurant/bar.
- Monitor your guests for degree of sobriety.
- Make sure that all alcoholic beverages are open before leaving your possession.
- Card for proof of age and identification.
- Investigate ID for validity/acceptability.
- Throughout your shift, especially during slow time periods, check restrooms, lobby, restaurant/bar for garbage and keep all areas clean and tidy. Please vacuum heavy traffic or dirty sections as needed.
- Follow beginning and ending side work sheets.
- Keep yourself available to your guests and be aware of new tables.
- At the end of the night, one waitstaff should be in the bar at all times to monitor and make sure that all glasses are not being taken out of the building. Please try and get all glassware into the washers as quickly as possible.
Ballroom Bartender Responsibilities
- Direct Supervision: Bar manager, assistant bar manager, ballroom supervisor, MOD
- Follow separate policy sheet
- Follow specific duty list posted behind each bar.
- Keep all areas in bar clean and sanitary.
- Make sure that all alcoholic beverages are open before leaving your possession.
- Monitor guest for degree of sobriety.
- Card for proof of age and identification.
- Investigate ID for validity/acceptability.
- Fill out any necessary incident reports and turn into supervisor.
- At the end of the night, clock in under “clean up” to help with end of night setup after all bar duties are completed.
Qualifications
Experience is preferred but not necessary as we can train the right candidate. Shifts that will be required and non-negotiable include nights, weekends and some holidays.
